Traditionally, LGBT federal employees had to be deeply closeted to keep their jobs and qualify for security clearances. For out members of the LGBT workforce, the employee benefits, job security, growth-oriented career ladders and sheer variety of national and global federal opportunities stayed completely out-of –bounds. However, under President Obama’s Administration, these conditions are rapidly changing. Departments like the National Security Administration, U.S. Department of the Interior and the U.S. Agency of International Development have all been actively recruiting from the LGBT workforce on Out & Equal’s LGBTCareerLink.
This webinar will tell LGBT job candidates more about federal employment opportunities, including the Presidential Appointment Program being coordinated by the Victory Fund.
